Gaisce Adventure Journey

Last Updated:

Gaisce has become synonymous with secondary schools over the past 20 years, with many students actively working towards their Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards. At Shannon River Adventure, we are here to support your journey through the Adventure Journey component of the Gaisce program. Whether you’re looking for a two-day, one-night expedition for the Bronze Award or a three-day, two-night adventure for the Silver Award, we’ve got you covered. Why not add an extra night to include more activities, or even combine Bronze and Silver participants in one trip to create a shared adventure? For those pursuing the Gold Award, please contact us for more details.

Onsite camping for 100 – 120 students
Your Gaisce Journey at Shannon River Adventure (Bronze)

“Tommy, Lara and crew were so welcoming and professional. There was a really positive vibe around the centre and on the walks. The walks and trip on the Shannon provided beautiful scenery and the natural beauty of the island was breath taking.

The walks were well organised and it was obvious great thought, care and research was put into picking out the most scenic routes. We would highly recommend the centre to any school and can’t wait to go back!”
– Caroline & Trish.

The journey element of the program will encompass walking country roads & trails.

Our routes are thoughtfully selected to provide not only a satisfying level of challenge but also an opportunity to immerse yourself in the richness of the natural surroundings. Along the way, you’ll encounter an abundance of flora and fauna thriving in the hedgerows. Our trails carefully traverse the boglands, allowing you to experience this unique ecosystem without disturbing its delicate balance.
