Gaisce Adventure Journey
Gaisce has become synonymous with secondary schools over the last 20 years. Many schools have students working towards Bronze, Silver and Gold. Here, at Shannon River Adventure, we can help with your physical Recreation and Adventure journey requirements, be it a two-day/one night expedition for the Bronze award, or a three-day/two night adventure for the Silver. Your Gaisce Journey at Shannon River Adventure (Bronze)
“Tommy, Lara and crew were so welcoming and professional. There was a really positive vibe around the centre and on the walks. The walks and trip on the Shannon provided beautiful scenery and the natural beauty of the island was breath taking.
Camping on Rabbit Island is a must do experience for anyone and definite highlight of our stay. The walks were well organised and it was obvious great thought, care and research was put into picking out the most scenic routes. The journey element of the program will encompass walking country roads & trails.
Day 1
10.00am – 1st walking route (17km) – break along the way for lunch
5.00pm – Dinner
6.30pm – Activities
9.00pm– Camp craft, roasting marshmallows, hot supper
Day 2
8.00am – Breakfast
9.00am – 2nd walking route (9km)
1.00pm- Lunch
Our prices include: Afternoon snack, homecooked evening meal (served on the island), marshmallows, cooked breakfast (sausages, rashers, bread), choice of cereals, juice). Depending on type of journey and time of departure, sandwiches may also be provided on second day
